Course Descriptions
Mathematics:
Math courses focus on a variety of topics at the heart of basic math, pre-algebra,
algebra, geometry, Algebra II, pre-calculus, and calculus. Students focus on
developing deep understandings and connections between mathematical ideas and on
strategies for problem solving in new mathematical situations.

Language Arts:
Language arts courses focus on the writing process--pre-writing, drafting, editing, and
revising. Students create narrative essays, responses to literature, persuasive
compositions, and research reports. While learning various writing styles, students
write clear, coherent, and focused essays that contain formal introductions,
supporting evidence, and conclusions.

Physical Education:
Physical education courses focus on improving the students' aerobic capacity, body
composition, abdominal strength, trunk extension strength, upper body strength, and
flexibility. Students participate in a variety of physical fitness activities designed to
target each of those areas.

Technology:
Students learn how to understand and navigate the internet with ease and acquire a
meaningful context within which to place our "information age." Students are
introduced to various common technologies that make up today's technological world.
